1bar is fine, the difference can be run via boost control. 38mm will suffice, BUT if the tial unit is of better quality (which i'd be of the assumption), then i pay the money for a good unit and be done with it. Skimp on it and it will be a head ache that never goes away but requires constant maintenance.

That sounds more like a boost leak than an 'angry pack of bee's, which is what i reckon the majority of them sound like.

Don't think the videos do it any justice.

they interslot with eachother i,e they have the same diameter but are sprung differently so when u combine them together they add up to the correct psi asfaik.

ive done it with my tial-44mm.

$700 is a bit overpriced yeah?

Do you mind me asking where/how much you got your tial 44mm for Tino?
What are extra springs worth? Shouldnt be more than around $20 id imagine.

i bought my wastegate overseas 2yrs ago its the cheapest way to go by far. Cant really remember price, off hand i think i payed around 5-550 landed in AUS (for a tial 44mm). But i think wai recently got one so ask him

I think the springs cost $50 each. but u could prolly ask for one spring that has a higher rating instead of putting two springs together..

i was told by a few ppl that the v-band wastegate was the best way to go.

How much are u getting charged for the piping from the upipe and a screamer pipe? I rekon itll cost u around 500 or so for labour...

Why not just get a 1 bar spring and then run either ECU based boost control or an EBC to make it run up to the target of 1.4 bar? If you put 1.5 bar worth of spring into the wastegate then it can never run lower than 1.5 bar unless you change the spring again. Unless there is a good reason not to have it electronically controlled this is what I'd be looking at doing.
