Does anyone know how to take the front crank shaft seal out? is there a special way to get the seal out?? the engine is in the car so I cannot get a slide hammer or anything on it. should i pry it out with a pair of pliers each side?????

I take it that you have removed the timing belt? and removed the pulleys? There is nothing else there

well once you have the belt off and you take the crank pulley off the seal will be in front of you! and a small screwdriver should be able to get it out. (dont scratch the shaft though)

you will have to take off the timing belt. Remove the idlers (14mm head bolts) and tensioner, then the crank pulley will just slide off. If it doesnt put a screwdriver on both sides of the rear of the pully and gradually lever it off.
