Yes. and go no more than 2.5 on the cold side. Although 2.25 inch is fine on the cold side too.

And while your at it. rotate the compressor housing so that you don't have to wind the piping around the turbo.

I've noticed with FMIC setups, some people have the hot side coming to the left, and some have it coming to the right.

What is the best way around?

I'm assuming the best method is to rotate the turbo, and then put the hot-side going from the right to the left (from the perspective of sitting in the car)

And also, have the intercooler core flipped, that will reduce the piping by about 1.5 metres all up

the right! way is hot side, drivers side and the cold side passenger, having the cold side cross over the turbo makes no sence to me but some manufactures sell that setup.

taking notes of all this info and shall take in to tenagah tomorrow for quote.

Yah flip cooler upside down and have the joins coming in under the headlights. rotate turbo so it goes over or very close to manifold...

2 inch hot side and 2.5inch cold side. 3 inch if u must.

Basically avoid going in long loopy section through the guards.

Yeah, thats what i thought ..

Ideal -->

Rotate Turbo
Upside down FMIC
2 - 2"25 Cold Side

I'd like to go FMIC, but it's just not worth it on a TD04, as Mr Two has mentioned, it's not worth it as the performance gain is too small compared to the aftermarket TMIC's which are available.

What's the main warrant for needing a FMIC .. The CFM of the turbo .. The more CFM it can push, better FMIC you need?

the drop in inlet tempuratures, which results in a denser charge which allows more fuel and allows more ignition to be applied.
