is the stock subaru box helical ?
can you mix helical with straight-cut?

Yes and No
only on differnt rails.
so 1&2 need to be the same type and 3&4 need to be the same type.

Isn't this only the case with PPG's? I'm fairly sure there are cars floating around out there with a straight cut first gear and helical 2-4, but using a PAR gearset.

ok thanks, looking on Xcceleration website, if im correct about $3500 for 1st and 2nd helical syncro then install

That seems expensive. I'm fairly certain PPG 1-2 is about $2400 with around $900-1000 labour.

I wouldnt rely on websites unless its regularly updated.. call up for realtime prices

Bugga Ramon that Holinger aint playing the game.. dont they know you got a car to enter for next year?! You might have to stick with 5spd and convert that.. Paddle Shift FTW!

i think autobarn do them now, no interest for 12 months like.

For all you drive it just put a 6 speed gear knob on it and convert the existing 5 speed to sequential.
