Default Processwest FMI and Aftermarket BOV

Hey All

Just wondering if anyone here has a process FMI and how they rate it? I spoke to Kevin and install sounds great but the piping is 2.5 inch both hot and cold side.

After find out that, I was thinking of just getting a Trust one!!

Also, can a stock STi BOV hould around 22psi or will it leak?

Any thoughts!!

thanks

Chris

you can modifiy the stock bov by installing a small grommet/plug into the bov, and then it will hold 35psi (tested) and then some.

stock bov can hold 20pound without mods, all fmi's will produce lag, i have 2.5' piping both sides, boost comes on at 4500 5000rpm, if you dont want lag dont get a fmic.

Feral has one on his pig. Seems to fit nicely. Hes running around 18psi but hes using a aftermarket BOV.

yes unmodded bovs will bypass around 1.3/1.4bar of boost, grub screwing the bypass hole will allow you to hold significantly more boost then the engine is capable of taking.

fmic will increase lag, no matter what the circumstance. so your only option is to keep pipe diameters as small as possible. bigger is not better.
