Yeah did mine when upgrading to a P20 on my VF34.....had the rear housing Ceramic/HPC coated also while it was off. Made a massive difference to under bonnet temps as did HPC coating the dump & heat sheild.
Removing the rear housing is reasonably simple....undo the V-band & remove, disconnect the wastegate actuator arm C-clip then hopefully it should slide apart if the turbo is still new.....if the turbo's been used you will need to tap around where the turbine housing meets the centre cartidge with a sharp chisel or similar til it splits apart. A bit of pre-soaking with a penetrant over night is also a good idea before attempting this on a used turbo.

As for matchporting the turbine inlet to the up pipe.....very tricky to see how much to take off. I usually go by the black carbon build up as showing the area to smooth in most cases but because the up pipe gasket is heaps bigger than the turbine inlet and up pipe outlet (about 9mm bigger diameter) it makes it difficult to see how much to take off....and yes I probably wouldn't do it unless you plan on porting your headers too....it may provide a small improvement on its own though.

the only major advantage is the outlets from the engine to the headers. the 'porting' is to port until where the gaskets meet - which u can see as carbon buildup.

everything else is to continue this better flow through the system.

Cheers mate. I needed to get the car back on the road asap so no treatment this time. I will sort it out further down the line so I might get that housing off you if you still have it by then.
