more than likely the o-ring
did you put new o-rings in when you did the install?

I dont really see what you could get out of asking the forum?
Surely its at a mechanics getting tested? its either one or the other - thats what they do! One of those things where the only real answer is physically looking at it/testing it.

mate check that the spark plug leads are connected first before you jump! Im sayin this because i installed a set of MY00 injectors last weekend and one of the injectors was leaking fuel everywhere, took it out 3 times to make sure it was all good! Seals were fine, contact was fine. Ended up being the Number 4 lead was not connected probably and there for was not fireing the cylinder, lol
check this first bro ![]() |

How is it leaking? Is it leaking externally or has it been diagnosed as an internal leak i.e. stuck injector?
If its external leak, check the O-ring, check that the injector is seated properly on the manifold and on the fuel rail, and then check the injector for damage i.e. cracks. It can very easily be either of these 3. When I installed my injectors the first time a few years ago, two of them were leaking because stupid me forgot to tighten one of the fuel rails back down. Once I tightened it up and let the leaked fuel evaporate, everything was sweet as. |

Good
![]() Get someone to look at the injectors when you start the car....you can see a fuel leak pretty easily. Make sure the engine is cold cold when you do it. If it leaks, switch the car off straight away. It wont be a fire hazard if the engine is cold, but keep an extinguisher nearby just in case! |
