I got it done at RMS, but it was fitted as part of their complete 3" exhaust system. Not sure how much the bell mouth dump pipe costs on its own. The difference was noticeable, but it wasn't huge.

I would talk to a workshop before running off to get your bits.

1. New dump pipe might not merge up to existing system
2. Might need some rewelding or modification to the exhaust system

There are most likely better mods to be done then just a splitter.

A splitter alone wont nett 1 zillion hp and 2 billion nm of torque. Once again, it comes down to application and your goals for your vehicle. In the 2.5in thread there's a graph of what a china bellmouth can do.. food for thought...
thinking of having boost come up abit earlier, any other suggestion intra? other then splitter

Well just a splitter alone wont do all that much...

Stuff like headers, wrap, coating.

Too all have a good read of the following link explaining splitters and open bellmouth dump pipes.

http://www.msengineering.com.au/exhaustsystems.html

Any good workshop around town MMS, RMS, ASG etc can fabricate up the correct length splitter for your specific turbo. Splitter length is important for different turbos.

Sort of bringing a dead thread back but, does Dylans Exhaust that he sells have an open bellmouth? I didnt quite know about this when installing the exhaust so i never really paid attention. Now with that said, if i was to get my dump pipe splitter made up to accomodate my IHI VF34, would anyone know a rough cost off the top of their head.

it is a bellmouth the one that dylan sells....

dont modify it.... buy a new one and sell the one you have will work out to be more efficient and cost effective....

Hey kenneth,
your running a VF34 right? shouldnt be full boosting at 4k, thats sounds way too late. And a splitter in the dump prolly wont do much in terms of quicker spool, its mainly for preventing turbulence by seperating the exhaust and wastegate gases. If you want quicker spool, try a downpipe with a plate over the wastegate (like the HKS, however might be inefficient for an upgraded turbo like a 34) or adding a silicon inlet.

my only problem is, if i did buy a newone to fit my VF34, what are the chances of it fitting onto my flange on the rest of the exhaust?
