Default Air Filters

Just wondering what air filters you guys use / recommend for this situation:

MY99 WRX with std turbo and full 3" exhaust with w/gate splitter - no other engine mods to speak of... Just bought an APS CAI and wondering what air filter I should use. I don't want AFM problems so i'm thinking a non-oiled filter is going to be best.

Basically wondering what kind of filters are best and where's the best place to pick one up?

Thanks lads!

Jacob.

Apexi Power Intake.
Dry element, one of the best around.

Got mine from EvoR

Jacob - APS have a habit of making products which are only compatible with other APS products, or limited choice in other 'non APS' branded goods - in the case of the CAI, you may be limited to a select number/type of K&N cone filters which :- a) fit the end of the CAI, & b) sit inside your inner front guard.

Make sure it fits both before you rush out & buy.

These are oiled filters aren't they? Without doing ECU to remove the need for an AFM i need a non-oiled filter.

Nuthin wrong With K&N just dont over oil them, even from new there over oiled, but theyre better than a dry foam filter, at least the oil traps the dirt and tests have proven a dirty K&N filter is still better than a new factory paper filter.........

I had more problems with my Rush foam filter than my K&N one..... oh these ones where pod filters too, but I did have both K&N element and pod filters and I'll always have them......
