600 bucks seems rather cheap for a total turbo rebuild.

Just because its a TD04, doesn't mean that it costs much more or less than bigger turbos to rebuild. The number of parts and work required is the same, whether the turbo is big or small. |

Can a VF34 be rebuild? some people said yes, most people said no. So is it something that cannot be rebuild at all, or a job thats going to cost more than buying a new VF34 turbo?
I got a VF34 thats giving me white smoke in the exhaust, suspecting oil seals. Please assist. Thanks Ken |

ah, thanks stace,
in that case, what else do you guys think i can do with a bad vf34? would hybriding it with my currently working vf35 be more worthwhile than rebuilding vf34 and sell off either one of my turbos? its gotta be better than using the vf34 as door stops. |
