Default Tein SS Coilovers - Jap vs Aus spec

Background: http://www.xspeed.com.au/shop/produc...oducts_id=1645

Just wondering if anyone knows of any other differences (or any experience) between the Jap spec for this product (which come with rubber upper mounts) and the Australian ones which xspeed are flogging (and come with pillowball upper mounts).

Other comments on various forums suggest that in fact pillowball upper mounts give an increased harshness over rubber upper mounts - whereas they are selling them based on the fact that they are suited to be softer on Australia's harsher road conditions vs those in Japan etc, seems like a slight contradiction? Or is my information twisted..

Sounds like a crock of shit. There is no way a pillowball mount will be more compliant (read softer) than a rubber bush mount.

i got the aus spec ss from xspeed.

got them on the softest setting and they feel good. Apparently Tein came to Aus for a few months and re designed a damper more suited to our roads.

ive never been in a jap spec set up so I cant comment on the difference.
