Help Request
Ive been having problems with starting my car for quite a while now, been slowly trying to eliminate the fault. But so far, I cant even figure out what system the problem is in, let alone the specific fault.
So far, Ive eliminated the following as possible causes: -Fuel Pump -Alarm Module (diagnosed as fault by subaru - later checked by someone i know whos an auto elect. and tested ok) -Fuel Filter -Stereo system, including amp (just incase it was causing a problem) -Spark plugs -Spark Plug leads Now heres my request, is there someone on here that has a laptop with the software and connector to plug in, that is willing to check and tell me what error codes, if any come up? Details of problem (MY02 wrx) Car doesnt start properly, sounds like it is not getting adequate fuel, fuel pump fails to start. |

If I could get the error codes, it may narrow down to what system the issue is in. (eg electrical, fuel, mechanical.....) |

Um, fuel pump relay.
If its stuffed, a million fuel pumps will do the same thing.

yes, or the brant fuel pump relay also, could not be allowing the ecu fuel pump relay to come on. ( i know subaru said the brant is fine) have you tried leaving it in valet mode for a few days and see if it does it?

The brant keypad is actually set on manual arm at the moment. Doesnt seem to make a difference whether its been armed or not. The only pattern I can notice is, when the car is cold, and the weather is cool/cold, car starts fine. If the weather is warm, or the car is hot then usually I have issues. |
