Apexi Pod Filter

I just installed my apexi pod filter last night and i was told that i need to cover the pod filter with an aluminum sheet just under the bonnet vents.
is this really necessary? or can i just leave it as it is?

well im assuming you have a GC8, so the vents have covers under them anyway. so i wouldnt worry about it personally!

but its up to you

running one too....but your vents should have the backing plate underneath which is more than enough to protect it from water etc..

i dont have the vents covers underneath...so im assuming i just need to go and buy a vent cover?

100% YES! if you have MY99/MY00 as the AFM will be toast in no time what so ever!
