Default boost controller

hey guys i bought a greddy profec e-01 boost controller. is it necessary to get it dyno tuned while installing it?? Is it a good idea to have a electronic boost controller at the first place anyway? what's the benefit of a electronic boost controller?? and if you have a aftermarket ecu do you still need a boost controller??? There are many perfomance shops been telling me not to get one, and some of them tell me to, so i just want to hear you guys opinion. i have VF29 turbo on my gc8, BOV catback 3' exhaust.
cheers

aftermarket ecu's dont need boost controller,
if it does need a boost controller, then its a crappy ecu...

So you're telling us you already bought it, and now you're asking whether its a good idea, the benefits, and what to do with it?

I'd say its a waste of time, but thats just me.

Thats news to me i knew that you could buy the Apexi boost thing but last i checked was around 250-300 so you might aswell just get a EBC like a profec B or something.

Every car i have seen with PFC has a EBC aswell.

Forget about all these people, don't know what they are talking about. Just use the electronic boost controller + fuel cut defender, wind it up to what ever boost you want, care will be fine mate.

ps: try search.
