my gc8 blew its motor last week....sent a rod through places it shouldnt be venturing..curently in pieces and geting rebuilt too...not a pleasant feeling

I think what alot of us have missed is the cause of this... its a good question to ask.

Im not sure of the cause, i was driving hard like usuall. Mods are silicone inlet, Hyperflow TMIC, VF23, 3"TBE, Headers, Unichip Slako Tune. Engine just went without notice.

Late last year i had a problem with the FPR (Turbosmart thanks Speedworks), which caused all sorts of problems as it wasnt picked up from a broken flywheel to damaged starter and the faulty FPR, had really bad backfires then also. All problems were fixed by west racing and when they took the timing cover off the belt wasnt installed correctly and the pullys were worn. This was all repaired and was tuned and runnign great till now.
