Default Weight Loss Project

Hey kids,

Over summer I am trying to get some more weight out of my GC8. At dutton with a full tank of fuel it weighed 1250kgs.

For those that dont know it it is a Version 5 Sti Type RA with a full cage. All I have basically done was when it was stripped I took out all of the sound deadening.

So far I have fitted the STI fuel pump which means now I can run a lot less fuel which will save approx 30 kg's.

Next on the list is the side intrusion bars. CAMS says I am allowed to do this because of the full cage.

I have taken the door trims off and they look quite substantial.

Does anyone know how much they weigh before I charge in and start cutting?

Cheers

brendon

If u really want to save weight then convert ur side windows into lexicon, pricey but effective...

CF boot/bonnet/doors/ etc isnt an issue for Dutton and most events, but will have to come off for Targa.

A route worth considering.
