Well I couldn't tell you which one it is, but the first thing I'd be looking at is the oil pressure light sender.

I doubt it is the same prob as your car but i had a situation with a VN commodore a few years back. Did an oil change and all was good. 2 weeks later light comes on and stayed on. Checked oil and had heaps. Turned out I had a leaking injector that was pumping fuel down the motor, thinning down the oil causing it to be too thin.

pull the dipstick and smell the oil. If it smells of fuel thats what i would put the money on.

Yeah... I'd say the same thing but you can never be too sure

I would get a mechanical gauge put on it (aswell as your pressure switch) and that should give you some good indication of what the pump is doing

I would personnaly change the oil and put a genuine filter, just to be on the safe side...

The front crank seals are only meant to last 100000km, change them with the timing belt.

Check your oil pressure and the sender.

What type of oil is in it, and how long since it was changed?

Youd have to have a pretty hefty leak to trigger the light.

Just swap sensors, better safe than sorry. Because if it is something more, you can do some bloody serious damage if you are infact losing oil pressure. $50 now or $5000 later if its the pump.
