Exclamation Rotor change on WRX

Hi guys,

Can someone give me a rough idea how many Km's I should expect before I need to change my disc rotors on a 99 WRX the brakes and pads are all genuine subaru parts.

nah this is just for a car that im lookin at, its had a rotor change allready on 128,Kms just wondering if this is normal? or has the car been drivin exteremly hard ?

I think at 128,000kms, the car has been driven VERY softly. In fact, he shouldn't be allowed to drive a WRX, get a Holden Barina and stick Playboy stickers on the rear window :P

I would say a rotor change is expected every 50,000kms or so, depending on what kinda driving environments the car is expected to go through. Eg. A single hard track day could chew through an entire set of rotors and pads. For a daily driven commuter WRX that does not see any spirited braking, rotors should last about 50-75,000kms I reckon.

yes, at 128,000 km and to have only had a single rotor change is criminal, it should be close to its 2nd or 3rd at that stage

wow !

i thought a rotor change at 120kms meant the car has been driven extremely hard

thanks guys,

the car had allready been sold before i could get a look at it :O( now of to find my perfect WRX..

if anyone is sellin one in Perth lemme know budget is $25K

changed mine recently (a bit early, too) with about 70k kms on the odo. no track work, just light road use..

could own a vw.... normal daily driving, disc and pads every 30k or so....
