Default My new mods - ecu thoughts

Picked up my VF35 and 3" exhaust yesterday!!!!
Cant wait to install them!

Anyone heard of an EMS ecu? its a piggy back...has lambda and hand controller for tuning.

Im weighing up weather to use that or a link pnp (no hand controller) or a link piggyback with hand controller. (all roughly same price) (pnp $100 more)

what are your thoughts?

cheers
adam

I'd probably stick with the ECU's that have been tried and tested.

Link Piggyback? I'm pretty sure ALL links are PNP...

EMS and mitrostench are pretty much in the same catergory..

I rekon the LINK is just a 650 Double Pumper carby. hehehehe

LINK cold start PRYDE and

LINK Idle PRYDE!

When my car comes back to idle, everyone knows its a mofo LINK car.

Remember that all LINK's are not created equal.. If you want antilag (because you need it for letting flames off at pwrx events) then you will forgo an extra 40 points of fuel and ignition timing.

My car runs 10 Row and the difference in driveability is noticeable vs the 6 row tune.

I think 10 Row link is on par to an Autronic with the advantage of the hand controller and its readouts but the disadvantage of worse idle and cold start. Once the car is warmed up though teh hand controller is handy.

I adjust my rev limit when the car goes into the shop, and can check on coolant temp and knock events (if one was to occur) so If I thrash the car I set the knock limit lower than normal to like 40 instead of 60 and then i know if something feels strange i look at the hand controller and if somethign has registered i slow down.
