Default CEL on.. help?

hey guys, last night my CEL light came on. I Drove for about 50km, got to a turn which i slowed down to 2nd and took off really quick, car revved to about 6000 rpm and as i changed to 3rd the exhaust backfired and the CEL light came on. What i noticed about it was that the cruise control light keeps flashing and i can't use cruise control anymore. I tried disconnecting the battery for 15 mins etc. but no luck.

How do i check what CEL code is coming up?

Any ideas on what it is?

Most workshops have the code scanners, ring your local workshop and ask them.

Could also be a boost spike

Do workshops work on Sunday's? It won't be boost cut because it still picks up relatively quick, the boost is still there. BOV still works as well.

Ditto... boost spike and CEL on..Had same problem on my Sti... Just get the code taken off with a scan tool..
Im pretty sure your rev cut will be at 5.5k now as long as the CEL is flashing.
Just take it to shop that tuned your car to change any settings.
