My 07 STI made a huge difference.

I can hear the air intake and the bov 10 fold louder than stock.

I also have a K&N Panel filter installed.

yeh as i said - made a difference when i did it to my then stock STi... I doubt the boost difference the STi's run to the wrx would be the prob..? nor so much the paper filter over the K&N one (i had a K&N drop in filter aswell)

weird...

Mine is bog stock, standard exhaust and airfilter and with the resonectomy a distinct induction noise and bov can now be heard.

Very strange you noticed no difference on your mates...

I just used a small bit of plumbing pipe which was flared at one end from bunnings that was just long enough to go from the airbox into the guard.
Seems to do the trick.

Just leave you're intake funnel where it is and leave it open - Doesn't make any difference.

i beleive pete tran did some data logging with/without the resonator, and the ecu was definately seeing more air, but was over-correcting it back in the tune.
