i have a MY01 WRX and plan on getting a VF34. Will the standard Injectors be good enough? Wat size injectors u think would be good, ive been looking at just getting STI Pink 550cc? Is changing the fuel pump necessary??

fuel pump - yes, injector upgrade - yes. STi pinks will be fine.

personally i wouldnt see the need for an injector upgrade, just 255lphr pump, as the 34 will see ~200kwatw and have enough fuel supporting it with std 440's...

What are the standard 99 injectors rated at?

Its possible to get around 220kw atw (wok dyno) with standard side feed my99/00 440cc injectors, the same flow rate as the blue top feed injectors my01/my02.
beyond that the my02+ sti pink top injectors at 550cc consistently fall short of the mark of providing sufficent headroom when upgrading. i managed approximately 220kw atw again with pink sti injectors but with a duty around 95% (standard fuel reg)

if you really want to safeguard for the future, aim for at least 550cc or 800cc injectors.

I had a VF34 fitted to my MY00 with stock injectors and its around the 245hp atw mark.

My MY02 made 209.7kw atw and the STi pink injectors are at maximum safe IDC....with a fuel pressure reg, they'll probably do 215-220kw atw, but for a VF34 equipped car, they'd be more than enough.

get some 630cc injectors mate, bigger is better in the long run haha,,,
