Default Liberty Engine into a 99 WRX

Hi Guys, Does anyone know if a quad cam 2.0 Ltr Liberty EJ20T Engine would drop straight into my 99 WRX, Were there any big changes between the engines that would cause me problems when going to intstall it.

Thanks !

the manifolds are different, and thus sensors and wiring is different.

not a straight swap by any means.

Heads are different also are they not, so you cant just swap manifolds over.

That was going to be my next question, Can the manifolds be switched? I found a low km 1998 engine for a reasonable price. Need to get a replacement engine in asap. Car has been sitting in the carport for over 2 months now. I am looking to do it as cheap as possible and sell the car. Need to upgrade.

It's also illegal to put an older engine in a newer car.
