catch can issue
OK WTF is this hose for - that is being directed to the ground?
The other two hoses going to the engine are alright, but iv noticed this hose that points at the ground. When the engine is running, i can see slight smoke coming out of it, and very very light oil vapor. I put my finger over it, and it builds pressure.. any ideas? |

tode.. is ur catch can actually catching anything?? looks like any oil vapour is exiting through that tubing...
If u want to drain the oil back into the crank case then get urself a catch can that is designed to do this.. I.e Crawford air/oil separator..

That doesn't look right mate.....AFAIK the catch can setup should be a "closed setup" especially if your still running an AFM.

Catch cans normally have a hose that goes back into the intake, to vent the air back in once the oil vapour has been caught in the can.
Some people don't run this hose back, they just vent it to atmosphere via a small filter (to catch any wayward oil). Yours looks like its venting, but without that filter. |
