Thumbs up

Hey mate im running penrite, I got Penrite SIN auto fluid in mine not cheap at 45 bucks 4L but is doing a pretty amazing job. Also picked up some 80w-90 hypiod gear oil for the diffs. Its an extreme heavy duty diff oil good for hypiod gears in wrx diffs.

Dont know if there would be much difference between mine being 04 and urs a gc8??? Wouldnt think its changed that much known they share same engine and prob same auto gear box?

Anyways mines running well and the only problem I can put you onto is the fact you have to buy a geniune oil filter for your auto box as noone makes them. If anyone can bring some light on this??? but i have looked everywhere.

The filters cost 72.95 from subaru and thats prob the most expensive change apart from yes 9.5l of oil.

Good luck mate

Ok well im concerned. $73 for an Oil Filter. My 5 speed man GC8 cost me $12 for my oil filter from Repco. Does this sound right!? Auto boxes are so much more complicated!

yeah no joke nitro i was in the same boat. 700+ for a 50k service is beyond a joke isnt it. At the end of the day its only taking a plug out draining the fluids then topping it back up again. Not rocket since.

YEAH mate which ever oil i have done heaps and heaps of oil changes with expensive brands like your motul and the likes. Also done alot with the tried and tested castrol mobil... Depends on how much you want to spend. I cant afford motul so i dont use it.

I used to use it in my bike but there a little different being a wet clutch and revving 14thou rpm they demand a good oil. I found in my new bike an expensive castrol brand does and is lasting the amount of time.

Just check the mobilube 80w90 is good for the subaru i read up about it and thats why i went the hypiod 80w90 heavy duty one. And since yours is getting a few kms on it now might pay to put a thicker oil in.

Also make sure you grab yourself a oil filter coz theres no piont changing oil if you dont change your filter.
