Default 50,000km service - Mobil Synthetic diff oil - WHERE Do i buy??

Hey,

Well i've tried searching to no avail, what diff oil, atf, and brake fluid would you guys recommend for an MY99? Car is an auto wrx and has done 350,000kms if that make any difference, yes, no typo- 350k!!

Also, as I have to do auto trans fluid as well of course and never done it myself... is there a drain plug or do u have to suck it out?

Cheers,
Josh

I'm using AP Racing dot 5 brake fluid and Motul 300V engine oil. Don't know if that's of much use to you

Yeah, original motor, auto trans, turbo etc - blows a lil bit of smoke under load when cold (ie- burning oil) but aside from that, still goin strong!!

Oh and i'm still running on the original struts with whiteline flatout springs!! Economy!

Still running stock gear oil, although it's due for a change. Haven't looked into what I'll move to next.

Motul can be bought by the 25L drum @ around $550 nowadays. Otherwise, Tenagah and RMS sell 4 litre drums for around $90 odd (don't quote me on that price though).

Did everything bar the diffs and auto trans on the weekend, does anyone know where I can buy MOBIL synthetic oil for the diffs? No-one seems to have it.

Also, anyone out there with an auto GC8, how many litres does the trans take? Need to know before I buy, wanna make sure I get enough.

Cheers,
Josh
