Default LSD Front Diff

Ello peoples,
Just a quick query for you mechanically minded folk out there.
I've just bought a GC8 WRX that has an LSD Front Diff fitted with billet driveshafts .... just wondering what I should be expecting from this ??
What does this do for the handling ?
Do they have any downsides to them ?
Cheers in advance peoples

Stuart

Front LSD might make the wheel slightly harder to turn and depending on what type of LSD it may be a little noisy when your maneuvering slowly in a car park.

No other downsides I can think of.

Its an AVO LSD Mechanical Front diff, thats all I know about it at this stage.
It definitely feels much surer when cornering and the wheel has a bit more weight and feel and it is a bit clunky when parking ... that was my main reason for asking the question as I wasn't sure if that was right or not !!
Thanks for your input though guys very much appreciated

My sti has a open front diff/non lsd and it clunks big time when parking etc once hot. Ok when you are driving though. I think that it is normal. Just the centre diff is very tight..

I have a Kaaz mechanical clutch plate front LSD.

Clunks yep! Need a bit more gas when turning as there is a bit more friction up front.

You may experience slight pull to the left or right depending on your last turn, the clutch plates have that little bit more friction on the side you just last turned out of as the plates are slightly compressed.

Understeer, unless you've got a matching LSD at the rear to balance thing out.

Power down and the steering just pulls in the direction the wheel is pointing, be warned don't expect the steering wheel to self center when you got the power down you have to steer!!

Other than the above it pulls hard out of the apex.
