Hi guys,

It seems that my gearbox has packed it in... well atleast 3rd gear anyway... just chasing some suggestions on where to go to find a decent second-hand gearbox for an MY01 wrx... Preferably chasing a MY02 gearbox. Does anyone know if there are many differences between the 2 and what final drives they have?!?!

Any help will be appreciated!!!

i think the 01 was the last year of the 4.1.1 and the 02 was improved?

Try Japanese Wholesale Spares or Swan Autos, neither will be the cheapest but they should have what youre after, failing that try going to someone like RMS or MMS and seeing if they can find anything for ya

Post up your gearbox code and I can confirm, It's on the ID tag on the LH strut tower under the bonnet.
