unplug leads from the coil, if you get spark, your cam/crank is OK.

Make sure it isnt just really flooded too. Check spark, fuel.

Yeh if you connected the battery terminals back to front even for a second while jump starting it the ECU or fuse (if you're luck) could be dead.

well it cranks but wont start.....same thing happened to me but with a diffferent car, my guess is fuel pump

? since your cousin got semi-fried

i would probably rule out ignition probs
