Check the part numbers on the box to the listed part numbers on Whiteline's site.

The flatout springs deifnately drop you 30 odd mm from stock height. Either you didn't have stocks in first or someone has sold you the wrong things.

What is the gap between the wheen and the wheel arch like?

If the part numbers are all correct, its either wrong springs in the wrong box, or the car was already lowered before the Whitelines were installed.

What colour are the springs that came out of the car??

Ive seen his car, they were stock springs from dealership, black springs like mine. We used to tease about 4wd spec, so yeh my guess is wrong springs in box.

If they do turn out to be wrong springs, im guessing he will still be out of pocket for the install best case scenario?

best case scenario get them to refund him the cost of springs for the stuff up.

Or atleast pay for the fitting costs. I just swap springs myself = easy like 1 hour job. If that.

I can guarantee they were stock springs. If the car was any heighter it will be flying (which it is now ffs).

My best guess is that they sent me either wrong Flatouts or correct Control. Still waiting for confirmation. But they did say that if I wasn't happy they would either send lower Flatouts or Teins. What's my best case scenario for recovering labour costs? I'm more pissed off about leaving work early, peak hour traffic 2 days in a row etc. then anything else.

A. you can tell them what happened and ask if they can pay for atleast 1 labour cost of fitting since it was there mistake.

B. You can give me $50 or some old wrx parts and I can do it for you and show you how easy it is! DIY is fun!

C. You give up and pay again.

Personally Im biased and would go for option B but A or B is best.

They seem to be reasonable so far so it's up to them to respond now.
I've paid over $600 to be in a worse position then before so it won't be option C trust me.

DIY is rewarding but at the same time worst thing ever...

Its only worse when your friend jacks the car and you get under and realize he jacked it wrong and as you go to get out to re jack it the jack pops out and the rx7 with full sound system in the boot crushes down onto you and everyone panics and doest listen to you that they need to get a jack and they run around like headless chooks instead.

Happened to me a couple of years ago. Anyone that tells you FCs are light cars obviously hasnt tried to lift one off themselves O_o.

Suffice to say hes not one of my BEST friends anymore either haha
