Do it yourself as its fairly easy ey? Drain oil, take out filter, unbolt sump. Bolt new one, new filter fixed :P. Filter is like $12.95 from Repco for a Rico one.

im not afraid to do it myself but if the baffles or feed line is damaged i dont want to be fuckn around with it, engine is only 2000km old and cost me a small fortune so dont want to cut any corners and cause damage later.

Hence my paranoia at this stage.

would anyone have a photo of the ej207 block with a sump not installed??? had a quick search around with no success

Haha i would of got a shot for you but i've just recently split mine apart and boxed it up ready for rebuild at a mates house.....

yeh im spewing i didnt keep my old one, had like 3 holes in the block which put me off keeping it

Replace it.

I wouldn't take ANY risk with the sump or any other part of the oiling system.

hope it hasn't damaged ur bottom end. heard a story that a guy damaged his oil filter and broke the threads on the filter threads on the engine and needed a whole new bottom end.... but the damage on ur pic isn't that bad... best to check.
