Cheers guys, that was my main concern airflow affecting the FMIC's performance. But I will leave as is and see how she goes.

Leaving the scoop could actually increase the effectiveness of a FMIC by creating a suction effect. Everyone seems to think an engine bay is a closed off box with no air flow.

as above, the majority of airflow when the car is in motion escapes down the firewall, past the gearbox and under the car. leaving the scoop should make a nice venturi effect.

Just leave it dude... as everyone said it wouldn't really hurt to much, I'm putting FMIC on our wrx and just leaving scoop.

Also should be splashing out on FMICs when saving for hodinger.
