Is it that hard to hear/feel when the engine is ready for you to change gears??

Especially with a TD04... when your head hits the steering wheel from lack of torque, change gears...

If you really need one though... Pivot do a nice little aftermarket one that is quite cheap and does the job well!

set your defis to beep at certain revs steve down at MMS ste mine to 4500 rpm when i was running my car in and all i ever heard was the beep beep beep then you lay off.

I have a shift light and unless I was racing at night with a helmet, hearing protection and no dash lights, then it would become useful.

For 90% of the time, learning to feel the car and how to drive it is better than some gimmick shift light. If you can't pay attention to the noise of the car (and with the TD04 feel the torque drop off) a little light won't do anything.
