Default Power/Torque figures for 02-05 sti's

What are people getting with std tmic's and with fmic's?

Paticularly interested in the "small turbo/fmic/high boost" compared to large turbo/tmic/lower boost....

wondering how the cars would compare...

so,

Whats missing to get more power/torque from this setup: Im wondering if there is anything I havent thought about or am missing....i think its all covered..

K & N Drop-in panel filter
Pro-speed Silicon Turbo intake
FP18G Turbo
Sti TMIC
Perrin Headers
X-Force dump-pipe,
Trust JASMA Ti-R Full Titanium 80mm Exhaust
Motec M800 (fully enabled)
Decapped 814cc Sti Injectors
Sti in-tank anti-surge assembly and uprated sti fuel pump.

Am I at the point where I need a FMIC or bigger turbo? Im running about 1.4ish bar..Apparently more boost just gets me hot air and no gains. "if" i went a bigger turbo, whats the biggest you would go and have it still streetable? Im thinking a 3037 or a TD06-25G? (is a 25G heaps bigger than a 20G) I'd need cams to get them working half decent hey?

currently doing 300hp and 420Nm at the hubs.

you cant be far off from needing to go fmic I reckon. Any further gains aren't likely to be large ones with that set up. What are you hoping to achieve over what you currently have? MORE POWA

Pete you'd probably find a TD06-25G a bit of a pig to drive off boost with a 2L. A 20G on a 2.5 isn't too bad, it's responsive from about 3500rpm and hits hard. Cams will help your top end with a 25G, but you could be ok with a 20G on stock cams - I'm just going off what I know from my car, but then again, we have different motors so I'm probably wrong.

I don't know enough to comment on a 3037, but have a look at what Huy's old sti was doing with a 2835 (iirc?) - Not sure how this sizes up to your current turbo but it would be a good comparison to make. With a 3037, you'll be pushing the upper end of 300HP if not beyond it.

I'll leave it to the pros to comment, but there's some food for thought.

APS style air intake will yield some more torque....

A turbo motor should be thought of as not too dissimilar from a N/A motor. How do you make more power with an N/A motor? 2 successful methods: You want more inches, stroke it or, more air/fuel in, more exhaust gas out (head work and cams). In your case if 300hp isn't enough, you'll need to step up to a TD06 for 350-400hp, or even a Blouch Dominator I, II or III. But then you'll start losing torque down lower in the rpm range BUT it will hit like a freight train on boost.

A nice FMIC (free plug for Tino's Perrin one: epic win), cams, head work (porting/polishing etc), TD06-20G with a ceramic coated rear housing, retune, skids. Are your Perrin headers equal length? I think you can get some cheap torque with equal length headers if you haven't already.
