Default Engine number location

Hi all,

I have an 02 wrx engine in my kit car and am looking for the engine number from underneath the car.

can anyone direct me on where to find it???

Yup, get on top of your car for a start then look to the right of your throttle body near the gearbag housing above the starter motor.

hahaha cheers mate...there comes the issue...the top is not accessable i can only look at the engine from the bottom....

any chance if i take out the starter motor from the bottom that i will be able to see the number from a bottom-up view??

You may be able to get a mirror up there if you get the starter motor out the way??????

cheers mate...thought mirror may do the trick....champ

remote oil filter and lines.....no top access = trouble
