Default Will a MY01 exhaust fit a MY07 ?

Just wondering whether a diff back exhaust off a MY01 wrx will bolt directly to a MY07 without any modifications.

I was told by JDM CONCEPT (ebay) that the hangers were slighty
differant on the 06/07 and thats why i didnt go through with
one of his auctions for a cat back.

I would be keen to find out the truth!

Even if slight modifications are needed - to the hangers, or adjusting the length of the pipe - shouldn't be any more than a $40-$50 job.
