So that is a good price I take it. I have not yet had a chance to ring local suppliers.
The name of the mob on NASIOC is "201motorsports".
Check out there vendor site.
Whilst on prices is $617.00 USD ($649.00aud) good for a set of KYB AGX.

I've been running DBA 4000's up front coupled with the Ferodo DS2500 pads for a year now.

I haven't much else to compare them to but I will say that they stop you well! They're fine with day-to-day use and have minimal squeek with water in there at the start of winter days etc. When putting them to real use on some tracks and 'spirited driving', I haven't noticed any real fade from them. I recently had a complete brake flush and still no fade, so can't blame even blame anythinig on old brake fluids. nice pad is all i'll say.

I'd be up for a group buy if it's serious.

Reality check...
You probably have Ferodo Formula TS2000 that are supplied by Repco? The DS2000 was diluted to make affordable for the masses, had some changes, renamed and is now made in Thailand albeit with Italian friction material.
Cost is $162 retail via Repco.

Mate as far as i have heard from ferodo the ds2000 and ts2000 have the same friction materials. Same performance. Either way Im sure his brakes will stop him just fine.

Thanks

Hi guys,

Firstly, apologies for bringing up an old thread, and also for what is obviously about to be a massive plug, but it's amazing what you find when you Google yourself!

The reason QFM's pads are considerably cheaper is that QFM are the manufacturer for some pretty big name race brand pads in Australia. I'm not at liberty to say because it goes against commercial etiquette, suffice to say it doesn't take too much googling to find out who they supplies pads to, and how much those same pads go for in 'name brand' boxes. Buying direct out of them in their boxes make these pads significantly cheaper.

I've just recently updated the website that was posted earlier (http://www.qfmperformance.com) with customer feedback on both the HPX and A1RM pads, and also links to where those customers said it, but so you know I'm not making it up.

The quick rundown, alot of which was mentioned in the first post...

- HPX, basically the same performance as something like a Bendix Ultimate, but minus the dust and rotor wear, with a bit more life as well. $79 per set front or rear (generally).

- A1RM, better performance than an EBC Red, Lucas or 2500 Ferodo. Will work from dead cold, less dust than a Lucas or Bendix, and doesn't chew rotors. We personally run the A1RM in our rally car, but 90% of people run them as a daily pad, that occasionally see's track work. $119 per set front or rear (again... generally).

For those that may be interested, we're currently doing a Christmas special with half price rears on the DB1170/DB1220 pads, which suit 4/2pot (non Brembo) 'Subaru' Sumitomo calipers. These are our biggest selling pads because they also suit Skylines, Silvia's, 300ZX etc. so thus why we can do them cheaper.

- Front and rear HPX $131 delivered.
- Front and rear A1RM $191 delivered.

Definitely have a read of the customer feedback on the site and make up your own minds, forgetting the price... I can charge you more if it makes you feel any better!

Any questions give us a bell on 1300 884 836.

Also mods, sorry if this is against forum rules, this is only a response to an inquiry, and not me coming out of the blue flogging them off. I had a look for any opportunities on the site to become a site or club sponsor, and couldn't find anything. If any opportunities are available we'd be more than happy to come on board, so just let me know.

Regards,
Greg

Hi Guys,

Dragging up an old thread here I know..

I did an AHG tuning arvo on the 24th April and I was in need of some decent pads but as ever money and time came in to the choices of what was available.

I know DS2500 are the usual route to take however I found the pricing of what was available in Perth rather hard to swallow and the interstate postage some people wanted to charge was scandalous so I began to search around for the alternatives and came across GSL Rallysport and the QFM pads....at the time they were even running a half price rears and free delivery offer.

So I placed an order for their A1RM track pads, they had sold out of WRX pads because of the special offer however I was assured that because of the trackday booking my order was priority and I would get my pads on time and at the special offer price. Emails and calls were returned very quickly which was a refreshing change.

As promised my pads were delivered to my place of work on time and I fitted them that night.

Out on the road they felt good from brand new. I gave them half a dozen 80-20kmh 'slows' and they immediately firmed up and they started biting hard. They did not need any more running in.

Under normal driving conditions they feel just like the stock Subaru pads, no squeeling, juddering, grinding and they work just like a stock pad from cold.

On the trackday they worked brillinatly. First corner they worked straight away...by the second and third corners I could really lean on them. We were running 2 laps at a time on the circuit and they did not fade at all or even begin to smell like they were getting hot.

On the skid pan where you are only jabbing the brakes and not building any heat in them they still worked exactly as you would expect.

Now obviously at AHG its only short stints of work but I have no reason to believe the pads would not cope with heavier use. I plan on giving them a go at Wanneroo soon.

Dont be put off by the price guys, these pads really do as they say on the box and make a fantastic every day, multi-use performance pad!!

Just for the record...I have no link to GSL Rallysport or QFM other than being a satisfied customer.

Thanks James, greatly appreciate your feedback and experience with the pads, and glad we could help!

I've thrown further details on the pads in the business section:

Greg
