It sounds like it has a lot of air in the system and just needs bleeding.

It's rare that a pump should actually require replacing. I bet it is probably low on fluid and like type25 says, needs bleeding due to all of the air in the system from being a bit low on fluid.
Just top it up with dexronIII and turn slowly from lock to lock, letting it sit at lock for a short while each time and it should clear up , otherwise go and tear assholes at the workshop where it was just worked on! |

Yeah I hoping that's all it is. But is it like "reputable" workshops to make that kinda mistake and tell me that my pump needs replacing?

The steering pump should be good for ~250,000km at least, if not run dry or abused. 85,000km from a pump is unaceptable and I'd be asking them why it failed so early*. Ask them whether you should have to accept fitting a new pump to your car every 85,000km?
* Rhetorical question, don't expect a sensible answer or even a technical understanding from the guy giving you the vague look. |

if the fluid is not flushed every 40000-60000km then i can see how it can happen. Fluid gets dirty, socres shafts and runins seals, can can cause the veins to get stuck. usually due to the owner not doing a flush when it was recommended or a long history of the fluid not being flushed.
The best possible way for a powersteering pump to fail is from fluid leakage (this only happens in a well maintained car after say 10+ years. This means that a kit can just be put through the pump, without having to replace any internal components
