One of my main reasons was I was told it will help with stiffening up the car. But that could be bullshit at the end of the day I do not know that is why I ask. I plan on using the car for some sprint events next year and I am thinking that a cage is not nescasary for this at all.

Maybe it is just me wanting an excuse to do something else to her, might be money better spent on some more suspension components.

If your talking AHG type sprint series, or no limits night at Wanners etc then a cage isnt really needed.

K thanks mate, that was my plan. Might look at investing into some more suspension mods in that case. Could be a better idea.

Cheers

Cage's would be one of the last mods to look at. If you are trying to 'stiffen up' the car, have a look at all the other suspension components first. There are litterally hundreds of better handling mods you can do before this.

A set of light weight rims and the best R spec tyres you can find should take a second or 2 off

Ok sounds like I was going with a stupid idea, any advice, current mods include:

- Tein SS
- F+R 24mm sways
- Anti Lift Kit
- Roll centre kit
- F+R Strut braces

I was thinking of going through and getting new bushes put through it. And getting my under car hBrace put back in (Wouldnt fit easily when they did all the above work).

Cheers

Brake Master Cylinder Brace > New bushes

EDIT: What upgrades to the brakes have you done?

Im quite suprised that you are actually finding that setup to not be stiff enough, have similar mods on the WRP and I rarely ever find the point of understeer anymore, the car sits pretty flat most of the time

Nah dont get me wrong, it is running very well. Just thinking for future mods to make it 'better' I have found the point of understeer but you need to push it alot more than before I quite enjoy it at the moment. Will be driving it for a bit more to get used to it and decide from there.

Doesnt hurt to plan ahead though.
