Misfiring! PLZ HELP!! =)
Hi,
MY00 WRX Impreza Version 6 is has just started to misfire under hard acceleration... Anyone have any suggestions as to what this may be?? Thanks, Rachelle |

defintiely plugs, leads or the coil pack...
replace plugs first, then replace leads, then coil pack(or at least get it checked.). Steve. |

If your a Mechanic you dont just replace thing test them. check your plugs first make sure the gapping is right. then check to make sure the leads have the right restance in them, and finally look for signs of arcing on the coil area and the dizzy you will see some discolouring happing. checks for cracks aswell.
Mechanics arent just ment to be replacers there ment to fix the problem if it can, Not just reaplce everything. |

Generally a spark plug won't fail like that, they wear out and over time the idle usually will gets worse, not miss-fire under load.
An ignition lead will cause the missfiring, they start arcing and are usually the culprit. If the ignition lead had an open circuit the miss would be constant. A decent mechanic at your dealership should be able to locate the fault for you and it should be a fairly quick fix. Dizzy...hahaha...lol |
