Can anyone tell me which pad fits the 2001 WRX

Is it the 1219, which is longer with notch's or the 1170 which is shorter with a metal pin running through it.

Thought I'd ask first to see if I can save whipping the pad out to look at it.

Diggin up an old one here, I've got a set of new Ferodo Formula brake pads to suit Brembo's .. Was gonna put these in and see how they hold up to some abuse.

I know that they aren't as hardcore as the DS2500's but there isn't much information on them. From what I have read they appear to have good reviews, good bite, low dust, don't take too long to warm up etc etc ..

Anyone have any feedback on these pads?

They do however bite very well. Mine have done a track day and spirited street stopping for a while now...had them for quite a while as well...cant even remember when i put them in...must be welllll over a year , year & 1/2 now...possibly longer!!! In fact...How long ago did Speedworks shutdown...? Because they were installed there long before they shut up shop...

The pads aren't making sparks at night because of the high metal content, it's actually because it's metal on metal dude!

I have run the both ferodo formula and ds2500 pads. Both on track days at collie, i actully felt that the formula had a far better pedal feel.

both were worn after a day of laps, but the 2500's had slightly more left. Neither had enough for another day of the same amount of driving. I would say you could get about 150km of track driving on the formula and 200km on the 2500's. On the street significantly more.

The 1170's are the pads for the subaru 4 piston calipers. so i would say the others would fit the brembo's.

Yeah i know, the 3000's are WRC spec apparently. Just mean for cruising around the street with the occasional fang, 2500's might be a bit much for that.

Heh, not sure where you heard that. they definately are not. I guess it depends on the weight of your car and your driving style but 2500's should be fine for the street...

Still cant believe you only get about a day at Collie out of a some 2500's. We got 2 days at Barbagallo, 3 at Collie and several at AHG out of the first set on the STI (plus daily street driving). Thats including a top 10 result at the EVO-WRX grudge match.
