Default 02 STi - HID Question?

Hi All,

Quick question (I did a quick search and couldnt find anything)...does anybody with an 02 STi know what globes it uses? I checked mine quickly this morning and I'm pretty sure it said:

Type 1 HB3
Type 2 H1

Can anyone confirm? I'm getting a HID kit installed by Tim tonight and just wanted to be certain. Dont know if it makes a difference, but my car was a very late 02 (bug eye) possibly even early 03...

Thanks all, much appreciated!

I would just like to say a HUGE thanks to Tim (NVRENUF) for supplying and fitting the HID kit to my bug eye. The kit is of fantastic quality and the difference between the old STi globes and the HID is like night and day. i'm pretty sure Jamie got a couple of pics showing a HID vs the old globes...I would highly recommend this kit form Timmeh!

Also thanks to Jamie (Slappy) for getting all that crud of my headlights...they're spottless mate!!!

I thought he was going to pull out some light cutting agent...however, he used the Maguires stage 3 Kunuba wax on them...I was a little puzzled by this, seeing as its a wax...but the lights came up fantastic!

I def. have to get a bottle of that stuff...

Yeah the wax just seems to remove all the white gunk off the plastic without dulling the surface. I only tried the wax on my old bugeye as I wanted to be 100% sure it had no cutting agents in it.

The STI lights with HID kit looks sick!

Betty with HID in drivers side and stock in the passenger side Next we will do the high beams as the low beams stay on when the high beams come on. 4 x HID ftw!
