Had exactly the same issue with my GT Spec headers Ed!

Took it to Mettams and they put a new gasket in for me(yesterday)... only hassle is the gasket is a really weird size, so they didnt have one that fit perfectly!?... but, it seems to be working fine for now, so I'll see how it goes!

Ha ha bingo!

Only reason I knew, is because the exact same thing happened to me a few years ago when had a new up-pipe fitted to my stock exhaust manifold. We fixed it by having the flanges machined and a new gasket fitted

Noted, but would've thought the ones in the Tomei kit would be quality enough.

Guess it would be a good idea, but I'll repost again once the actual problem has been identified. The cars in for a service on Monday...

Same thing happened to me last month. Gasket replaced - no issues. Not too expensive fix either. I'd probably wait until next service and save some labour costs.

just out of interest, check the rest of the system to make sure that the box(s) arn't partially blocked. Had it on a RS Cosworth before where the rear box collapsed inside, creating slightly more back pressure than the front pipe gasket could handle. (mind you, the guy was pushing 550+ BHP!)

Just a thought....
