Cut springs - awesome.. !
They're not sitting in there properly - and will fall out when u raise up the car Pretty simple stuff - spring is too short in the strut

dont have spherical bearing top plates on your struts do you? i do and they knock occasionally. (but its normal for them)
cut springs on a subi? FTMFL

Simple and best solution. Take the car back to subaru - inform them that they have sold you an unsafe car and demand it be fixed - cut springs is a massive fail!
Any car they sell comes with a limted warranty on issues like this. freebies all the way.

nah meatbag the car was purchased of a dude on here not a yard....'sleepys' old car originally...must have been pretty tired and not thinking straight when he decided to cut them!
Adz..ur spot on bud! i must have gone over some big fk off bump and it raised by 20mm and the spring 'fell out' how nice. Pedders say any more than 20mm raise n they fall out. Suggested if I want it that low I need coilovers..and quoted me $1892 for 4 supplied fitted and wheel allignment. Does anyone have a pic of a gc8 on kings ultra lows? I reckon this is a similar problem to what my car does, every now and then it clunks and it sounds like it's from the rear end. And yes when it's on a hoist the springs come out of something, or so I'm told, but I know for a fact that they're not cut springs.

joshg123 calm down tiger!! i didnt cut the springs...im a father of 2 who will be riding in the back seat of this car...so safety is my number 1.. I had no f'in idea the noise was the springs..the pervious owner and the owner b4 apparently NEVER EVER had this problem..so I didnt know wtf to think or wtf it was.
But thanks for ur advice...its excatly what I am doing.
