Default kepad security

hey i was just wondering if anyone knows cos i heard from a guy that u can use the keypad security as sort of a turbo timer in a way.

does anyone know if this is true and if so how do u do it lol

anti-hijack mode? i use that lol wen you or anyone else exit the car whilst its runing it will have a 40 sec before it turns off while the keypad beeps...correct me if im wrong

lol nah youre not wrong its the anti hijack mode but you cant leave your car cos you still have to remove the key anyways,which means turning it off. so really quite useless as you could just sit in ur car for 40 seconds idling it anyway

Well umm yeh it would work, but it would mean leaving your keys IN the car while you go into the shops or whatever... anti-hijack kicks in as soon as you release the driver's seatbelt and open any door, which then gives you 80 seconds before motor cutout..... but who is gonna leave their keys in?

why dont u need a turbo timer??

thought its pretty bad if u dont leave it running for a bit after uve been thrashing it a bit?

oh gay i thought u could take the keys out haha sorry

if the turbo is oild cooled then you may use a turbo timer but subaru and alot of new turbocharged vehicles are all water cooled.

As it has been said 1000+ times already, Just dont hit boost for the last 1km to your destination just granny shift it all the way and you can then just turn the car off.
