Also looking at Short Shifter Kits (STi - 6 speed) - 4002 kit - $339 (up to 40% reduction) - Suits MY02-07 STi

And still looking at diff turbo timers......

But i dont see the point of having the Deceptor version.

Could be handy as you can turn down/off the WANK factor when you like without the need to open your bonnet.

Yes this is the reason i wanted this one, because i cant see myself wanting the BOV being loud all the time, just when im in mood for the "wank factor" plus when cops around can turn it down.

my car came with a loud bov when i bought it not relley a fan of loud ones cops dnt seem to care hey been side by side with heaps never pulled over.

Are they really worth the $650 - $700 price tag?

for that money you could get some Performance/handling mods for the car.

BOV...wank factor, no performance advantage, waste of money

Short shift kit...reasonable mod for earlier 6 speeds (02 - 04), less needed on 05>

Turbo timer...not needed...waste of money

...but each to his own I guess...

yeah dont really need a bov..i disconnect mine and get flutters when coasting on low boost...or i put my ssqv back on for the hell wank sound

turbo timers imo biggest waste of money on subaru cars or even any other cars

same with what Nauli said with the short shift kit, and i drive a 05 sti so dont really need one, its as good as it is.
