What's wrong with the time honored method of finding a mate with a realy steep driveway so your radiator tanks are higher or level with the heater hoses and heater radiator, then do a warm up with cap off and fill when it burps?

It's also known as the "RS Liberty water feature"........lol

Every RS I've owned had it's gurgles and waterfall effect......Very calming!

i agree with what others have said. raise the front of the car so that the header tank is the highest point of the system and that the air rises. run the car with the cap off. etc.

Another way to do it (steve at MMS showed me) is on turbo cars you take the hose that goes from the header tank to the radiator off at the header tank end & keep sucking (gently) & filling till the system is full.

Warning..........DON'T do when engine is hot & DON'T get that green shit in your mouth

Hey people, sorry to bump an old thread. My car was making the same noise after a coolant change. I was told by turning the header tank cap 1/4 of the way open, when the car is at opperating temp, you will hear the air purging out of the cap and once coolant starts to come out close the cap again. You only need to turn it very little till is starts to dribble out. This worked great for me and solved the problem, hope this helps. Don't take the cap off!!!!.

Any feed back on this would be great.

cheers

Thanks for the feedback, I tried a few things when I had the car but could never get the sound to go away. I sold the car about a year ago now so don't have the problem anymore
