you need one hell of a good pair of circlip pliers to get in there and remove that sucker. I broke my cheap pair putting together my HKS BOV ages ago. Had to visit my local mechanic and ask to borrow their pliers

i was afraid i was going to need to use cir clip pliers. there is only the smallest gap to get in there.... do i need to buy a flange to go on to the fmic or can i weld it straight on?

if the FMIC pipes are alloy, yes you can get it welded on. But you are still going to need to remove the adapter off the BOV to weld it as there is a rubber O-ring seal in there. If you weld with the BOV still connected you will probably melt the rubber O-ring with the heat from the welding and you probably won't have a good seal after that to hold in the pressure under boost.
