Default vf23?

i got an v5 sti engine in a 99 with an tbe, fmic, cai. power fc coming shortly... i got a vf23 cheap at the time so i went with it. is it a good turbo willing to put good power out, or is it going to be the weakest link in the car? i have a aps sr40 which was leaking oil, that came out of the car. is it worth getting that fixed? i guess its an option

VF23 - the forgotten member of the VF family - lost its flavour of the month status once the VF34 arrived but still a good turbo.
