EcuTek is a reflash not a new Ecu and a waste of money when you can have the same product that doesn't cost motors for half the price. Verso > EcuShit

I'd seriously be talking to your mechanic and asking exactly what they are doing. Mentions of piggy backs, changing of injectors (what size injectors are they changing them to?) etc etc doesn't sound the best.

As they know the history and what you will use the car for, I'm sure they can also recommend a decent turbo for you.

What are the goals for this car?
- Dyno queen
- Drag
- Short track
- Long track
???

Use of the vehicle will determine the turbo choice more than anything.

Get an ECU first then re-assess. Reflash is probably your best bet. Do NOT do more mods without doing your ECU.

As for the turbo, if you still find it lacking after you tune it correctly, look at something more TD06 sized, whether it be a bolt-on i.e. Deadbolt, GT Pumps, Forced Performance, or a kit i.e. Greddy.

Bit laggier, and also risk popping your EJ205, but you'll make good power with decent response.

For something more ballsy down low, VF34 with P20 housing.

I'm going to use the car for Short Track/Drag. Its a weekender

I have already blown 1x06 sti short motor so I dont want to blow another.......
